The idea behind the painting was to portray “I am not what people see.” We are not what people see in us; everyone sees a reflection of themselves in the people they meet. Perhaps we are like the center of this painting, where I depicted a golden mandala. Art is beautiful because everyone sees what they want. I spent a year working on this painting; I wasn’t ready. – Acrylic and markers on canvas 120cm x 70cm
